James and Katherine made us feel right at home with their warm welcome. The cozy, spotless room had everything we needed, including comfortable beds and tea-making facilities. Breakfast each morning was a highlight. it featured freshly cooked options and homemade jams that were delicious. I appreciated their attention to dietary needs, although pre-ordering the breakfast felt a bit cumbersome at times. We enjoyed the quaint garden, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. One downside was the limited parking outside. after a couple of hours, we had to find a space a bit further away. the low ceiling heights in certain spots were a challenge, especially when navigating at night. the charm of the historical property made up for these minor inconveniences.

Oh, I’ve got to rave about the homemade muffins for breakfast! They were an absolute treat alongside a menu that made my foodie heart sing. Plus, the warm greeting from the hosts and the cozy atmosphere had me feeling right at home. What a gem!
A cheeky critique—the low sloping roof beams made our snug Twin Room feel a tad cramped. It’s all part of the charm of a 250-year-old house, but if you're tall, mind your head—still, the character of the place is radiant!

Had a delightful stay! The quaint cottage was a breath of fresh air, with cozy beds and an impressive tea selection. And those little biscuits were a lovely touch!
Beware of the bathroom situation. it's like a game of hide and seek! You may need a map to find it at night.

Family with kids will love it!
We were greeted by Katherine with some warm tea and freshly baked cookies, such a nice touch, I tell you. Breakfast was incredible, everything from homemade jams to fluffy sausages cooked by James, like they were made just for us.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but for what we got, it felt justified.

The breakfast offerings stood out as exceptional, featuring homemade granola and a delightful full English that catered to our dietary needs. The hosts exuded warmth and attentiveness throughout our stay, providing personalized service that made us feel truly welcomed. creaky floorboards and road noise became a distraction, particularly at night when trying to rest. The room itself was small but tidy, equipped with the essentials yet lacking in some modern conveniences like adequate hairdryer lead length.

As expected in a 250-year-old structure, the ceilings are low, which can be a bit of a head-bumper for taller folks. The bathroom being across the landing from the room might not suit everyone, but it's just a quick step away. the bed was cold at night. while a rug helped, some extra heating would’ve been appreciated. Storage space in the bathroom felt limited, which made organizing personal items a bit tricky, but these minor quirks didn’t detract from the overall experience.
